The project

Don't craft your weapon.
Grow it.

Sporeborn is a pixel extraction game on Solana. Every weapon grows from a seed. Seeds carry genes, cross into hybrids and sometimes mutate into something nobody has grown before. Then you take what you grew into the Wild Zone, where whoever falls drops their seeds.

What Sporeborn is

A farm that grows weapons.
A wasteland that steals them.

🌱

Grow your gear

No shop sells weapons. You plant a seed, water it and harvest whatever it becomes. A cactus gives a thorn launcher. A razor leaf gives a blade. Ironbark gives armor.

🧬

Breed rarity

Every seed has genes. Cross two neighbours and the child mixes them. Sometimes it mutates. Rare items are not printed by a studio, they are bred by players.

⚔️

Risk it outside

Step through the portal into the Wild Zone. Fight other gardeners, loot wild seeds you can't grow at home, and extract. Fall, and the winner plants what you carried.

The core loop

Plant. Grow. Harvest. Risk it.

Everything below is captured from the current prototype.

  1. The gardener planting a seed in a farm bed
    01

    Plant

You start with seeds, not weapons. Each farm bed has 3 slots, and neighbours matter later for crossbreeding.

  2. A cactus and a razor leaf plant growing
    02

    Water & grow

Plants only grow when watered. Real growth takes hours. A plant you forget doesn't die, it just stops and loses quality, and quality pulls the weapon's stats down.

  3. The gardener holding a freshly harvested razor leaf blade
    03

    Harvest, bloom or cross

A grown plant forces a choice: harvest the weapon, let it bloom into more identical seeds, or cross it with a mature neighbour for a hybrid that might mutate.

  4. The gardener stepping into the portal south of the farm
    04

    Step outside the fence

The farm is safe. The portal south of it is not. Whatever is in your inventory goes with you.

  5. A melee strike against a rival gardener in the Wild Zone
    05

    Fight in the Wild Zone

PvP is on. Ranged weapons slow you down while aiming and need reloads. Melee closes the gap with a dash and a wind slash that cuts incoming thorns.

  6. The winner standing over the dropped seed
    06

    Extract or drop everything

Extract and your loot comes home to be planted. Fall and you drop every seed you carried. The winner plants your genetics.

Genetics

The seed decides the weapon.

Every seed carries 5 genes

  • Damage7
  • Rate6
  • Range6
  • Vigor5
  • Magazine6

Plus, rarely, a trait: Poison, Ricochet, Piercing, Burst.

Harvest rolls the stats. The genes set the range, the harvest rolls inside it, and how well you cared for the plant pulls the roll up or down. Same seed, different harvest.

Crossing mixes the parents. The child inherits each gene from one parent, with a small drift. Both parents are consumed.

Mutation is the jackpot. Each cross has a base 5% chance to push a gene past both parents or spawn a trait neither had. That is where rarity comes from.

Budgets, not god rolls. Strong genes cost other genes. A mutant weapon is specialised, not simply better at everything.

Thorn Cactus → Thorn Launcher Razor Leaf → Leaf Blade Ironbark → Armor Bomb Mushroom → Explosives (later)

Ownership

You don't own a sword.
You own the bloodline that grows them.

Only what players create or earn goes onchain. Everything that is meant to be used up stays off it.

Onchain

  • Mutant seeds (NFT)
  • Their pedigree: parents, breeder, history
  • Cosmetics and trophies
  • Special lands (season 2)

In game

  • Weapons and armor (they wither)
  • Common and wild seeds
  • Water
  • Tradeable on the in-game market

Never

  • Pay-to-win land or gear
  • Token emissions as the main reward
  • A studio shop selling weapons

Mutant seeds are not minted yet.

Economy

Water is the fuel.

Clean water is the scarce resource. You need it to water your farm and to breathe in the Wild Zone. Everyone gets a free daily quota. More water is bought with the token.

The rule: the game never prints tokens as its main reward. Rewards come from what players spend and trade, not from inflation.

The split is the initial plan and will be balanced in playtest.

Launch plan

Fair launch. No presale.

01

Bonding curve on Solana

Everyone buys on the same curve. No presale, no private round, no VC allocation.

02

Dev wallet locked

The team wallet is locked publicly right after the token graduates.

03

Fees build the game

Creator fees go to development. Progress gets shown, not promised.

Not financial advice. The token is a utility for an unfinished game. Only use money you can afford to lose.

Farm beds with crops growing

Lands · season 2

Free farm for everyone.
Special lands later.

Every player gets the same free farm: 12 beds, 36 plants. Later, special lands add biomes that nudge genetics, extra beds, structures like wells and pollination labs, and the option to rent beds to players without land.

Land never adds combat power. It adds production, genetics and a role in the economy.

FAQ

Skeptic questions.

Is the token live?

Yes, $SPORE is live on pump.fun. The contract address in the box at the top of this page is the only official one. Always check it here or on our pinned X post.

Are weapons NFTs?

No. Weapons wither with time and use, which keeps demand for new harvests alive. What lasts is the mutant seed that grows them.

Can I buy power?

No. There is no weapon shop and land doesn't add combat power. Water lets you grow and explore more, but the free daily quota covers normal play.

What happens if I die in the Wild Zone?

You drop every seed you carried. A safe pocket slot that keeps one item is planned and will be earned in game, never sold.

Can I play now?

Not publicly yet. Join the waitlist: OG gardeners and top referrers get the first playtest invites.

Why Solana?

Mutations and trades happen constantly. Cheap, fast transactions are part of the mechanic, not a detail.
